Sunflowers – ‘Soleils’, as the French call these mythical flowers, were a focal point for Van Gogh and his work in Arles, with sumptuous bouquets of sunflowers placed in the room when his friend Paul Gaugin came to visit. This cushion from Christian Lacroix Maison depicts sunflowers on a brilliant jacquard fabric in dazzling colours that is as beautiful on the back as it is on the front.
