Little Greene St James's Park Wallpaper - Suede Fade

This large damask pattern was found at Marlborough House, near St James's Park; a grand residence designed by Christopher Wren and home to the Duchess of Marlborough, a friend and confidante of Queen Anne. Originally a dark blue flock on a light blue ground, the paper is thought to be comparatively recent, although the origins of the overall design are Victorian (as wallpaper) and even older (as silk fabric). The twist in this interpretation is the light-dark ombré effect, which places a bolder colour at the base of the wall and a lighter one above, with the effect of making a space appear taller and lighter than it would with a conventional damask design.

Supplied on a standard 10m roll, there are three panels, each 3.25m high and 52cm wide, making the design fully repeatable at 1.56m wide.
